On that unforgettable day for the Wikimedia movement in Tanzania, the Jenga Wikipedia ya Kiswahili affiliate community committed to an ambitious target: to reach 100,000 entries by August 16, 2026. Our initial strategy relied on a structured rotation across Wikimedia platforms—dedicating one month to Wikipedia and the next to Wiktionary. We sustained this momentum from June 2025 through April 11, 2026, when we officially joined forces with the Wikimedians of Arusha Community User Group.

This strategic partnership provided a vital boost to our Wiktionary pipeline. We maintained an unrelenting pace, moving seamlessly from event to event and driving growth across all fronts to ensure we hit our six-figure target by this historic date.
